In this fan-favorite lighthearted relationship film from director Atef Salem, Farid Shawqi stars as a man who is down-on-his-luck and constantly pursued by creditors. Despite his humble circumstances, a kindhearted woman (Huda Sultan) falls in love with him. His life changes following a failed suicide attempt, when he finds a small fortune hidden in his impoverished home. However, he soon discovers that money can't buy true happiness.

Shawqi's New Age Film was the production company, and Shawqi and Huda Sultan were married at the time of production: their on-screen/off-screen partnership made them a celebrity “power couple” of the time. The vivid crimson background creates an attractive splash of color, framed by portraits of Shawqi and Huda.
