In this powerfully emotional film, lovers Helmy (film icon Kamal El-Shennawy) and Nany (beloved star Nadia Lufti) are pulled apart by the traditional beliefs of their families. They attempt to break free of social expectations to be with each other. This public sector film was directed by Hussein Kamal.

In this striking poster that departs from contemporary Egyptian styles, Nany's face in shown in extreme closeup in a shockingly emotional display of heartbreak. The black-and-white image contrasts with the coloring of the title and credits, which are rendered in a unique handwritten font.
