The Caller - النداهة
$450.00This film unites two Egyptian screen legends, in a story about the social divide between rural and urban life. Hamed (Shukry Sarhan) relocates from Upper Egypt to Cairo, where he finds work as a doorman. He meets and marries Fathiya (Magda), who has made a similar transition from the countryside to the metropolis. The two find themselves on diverging paths, as Hamed wants to return to his home and Magda finds she is more able to satisfy her ambitions in the city.
This is an evocative, colorful and highly symbolic poster from designer Khalil. Magda is depicted in a progressive, four-color triptych that evolves from a solemn purple hue, through vibrant red and orange, and finally a bright yellow color, mirroring her personal journey of discovery and fulfillment in the city. It's a relatively simple design, but compelling and beautiful. This is an ideal poster as a décor element or cinema keepsake.
