The Necklace and the Bracelet - الطوق والإسورة

Set in the rural village of Upper Egypt, the story spans three generations of women navigating poverty, tradition, and superstition in the first half of the 20th century. The film, directed by Khairy Beshara, depicts a community governed by deep-rooted customs and mystic beliefs, where honor and shame dictate harsh consequences. The women in the story face societal constraints and personal tragedies, revealing the struggles and resilience of life in a remote village.
