The Road - الطريق

Saber, a spoiled son, leaves Alexandria for Cairo after his mother's death to search for the father he never knew. His quest leads him into a complex web of relationships, including a passionate affair with Karima, the sexually unfulfilled wife of his invalid landlord. Meanwhile, a naive young clerk named Elham falls in love with Saber, but his desires are fixated on Karima. Adapted from a novel by Naguib Mahfouz, the film features standout performances by Rushdy Abaza and Shadia, and is directed by Hussam El-Din Mustafa.
