Qamar is shot, and with his last breath, he utters the name of his wife's sister, Reem, who is the sole witness. After her arrest, Reem's beauty captivates the prosecutor, leading to her eventual escape. Based on Tawfiq Al-Hakim's 1937 novel, the story records the daily trials of a young prosecutor in rural Egypt. Imbued with European ideals, he faces a world of poverty and corruption, encountering a justice system that is foreign and ineffective.

The poster, designed by Khalil, features a beautiful layout with a background split vertically into blue and white. The prosecutor is depicted standing in a suit with a tarbush hat and a sash of Egypt's flag, presenting a case in court.
