Adrift on the Nile - ثرثرة فوق النيل

Set against the backdrop of the 1967 Six-Day War, the film follows a group of frustrated Egyptians who gather on a houseboat to escape their disillusionment through drugs and alcohol. Adapted from Naguib Mahfouz’s novel, the film explores their despair over the failed promises of the 1952 Revolution. Directed by Hussein Kamal, the film stars Ahmed Ramzy, Magda El-Khateeb, Mervat Amin, and Imad Hamdy, portraying characters from various walks of life who find solace in their hedonistic gatherings on the Nile.

The poster, designed by Abdelaziz, is elegantly simple, featuring a grid of nine headshots of the film's stars in an ink-sketch style with brown strokes against a red background. The warm colors of the grid are balanced by a green title and separating lines, with the title rendered in unique, elegant calligraphy.
