Melody of Happiness - لحن السعادة
$695.00 $875.00This romantic musical from prolific director Helmy Rafla is the film that first introduced singer Muharram Fouad to cinema audiences. Muharram plays Ehsan, nephew to a brusque businessman (Zaki Rostom) and only heir to his modest fortune. Ehsan flees home to get out from beneath his uncle's thumb and meets a humble woman who works as a school teacher, played by Iman. They fall in love and begin to plan a life together, while a hireling dispatched by the uncle is sent to retrieve Ehsan at any cost.
Artist Vassilliou has created an attractive and tidy poster that marks an appealing celebration of the film. Muharram and Iman hold each other close, next to a line illustration of the lovers dancing freely in an open space. The orange background creates a feeling of warmth and conviviality, and the titles are framed by a musical staff that itself appears almost to be dancing.
