$625.00Ahmed Rashedy directs this poignant documentary that celebrates the life of singer Abdel Halim Hafez, nicknamed “The Dark-Skinned Nightingale.” The film is a devoted study ranging from his difficult childhood, to his years of fame as a performer, and finally his years of failing health. As well as interviews with his contemporaries, including artists and poets who worked with him, the film features some of his most famous performances.
This poster deploys a minimalist style to celebrate a man who became an Egyptian icon. Against a blue background, a simple portrait of Abdel Halim adorns the upper half of the poster, while below is a line illustration of a rapturous crowd of fans and listeners. As ever, a single rose symbolizes the adoration of the fans for a performer who defined a generation with his voice and talents.
